Which Scent Should I Buy?

Scent is the one thing you can get wrong. Here's what each one actually smells like.

• Black Cedar — cedar wood, black pepper, palmarosa and patchouli. Dry, woody, peppery. Our most popular, and the safest bet if you don't know his taste.
• Spiced Whisky — whisky, bay rum, benzoin, amber, maple and tobacco. Warm, sweet and boozy. For a man who likes an old-fashioned.
• Opium Smoke — frankincense, myrrh, coffee, vanilla, vetiver, pepper and pipe smoke. Dark, resinous, smoky. The most distinctive of the four.
• Smokey Lavender — smoked lavender. Lavender is a traditional barber shop scent; this one has an ember behind it.

Is beard oil a good gift?

Yes, provided you get the scent right. Beard oil is a consumable — most men who use it run out and don't get round to replacing it. A gift set solves a problem he actually has.

Which scent should I choose if I don't know his taste?

Black Cedar. It's dry and woody rather than sweet, it's our best seller, and it's the least likely to be disliked.

What's the difference between beard oil and beard balm?

Both condition the beard and the skin beneath it. Beard oil absorbs quickly and leaves no hold. Beard balm contains butters and waxes, so it adds body and lets him shape the beard. A beard care set includes both.

He already has beard oil. What then?

Give him a different scent, or the Beard Oil Multipack. Beard oil gets used up. Nobody has ever had too much of it.

Do you have gifts for men without beards?
