Opium Smoke Moustache Wax Handmade in NZ
Premium moustache wax, scented with our own Opium Smoke fragrance. A styling wax hand-crafted in small batches in Queenstown, New Zealand.
We are winding down our moustache wax range and will not be restocking it.
Made with beeswax, lanolin and castor oil — the beeswax gives the hold, the lanolin and castor oil condition the hair and keep the wax pliable. Non-greasy.
Designed and tested by professional barbers at Gents Barber Shop in Queenstown.
Fragrance Notes
Frankincense, myrrh, coffee, vanilla, vetiver, pepper and pipe smoke. Dark, resinous and smoky.
Hold
Medium.
Packaging
Recyclable amber glass pot. 15g.
Directions for Use
Rub a small amount between forefinger and thumb until pliable, apply to the moustache and shape as desired. Less is more — excess wax won't absorb and will set into visible clumps.
Moustache Wax FAQs
Why is the wax so hard in the pot?
Because it's cold. Warm a small amount between your fingers and it becomes pliable. A hairdryer works but repeatedly heating and cooling the rest of the pot shortens its life.
How much should I use?
A fingernail's scrape. There aren't many hairs to cover.
Is this wax vegan?
No. It contains beeswax and lanolin, both animal-derived. No animals are harmed in obtaining either.
Is it scented with essential oils?
No. Opium Smoke is a fragrance blend (parfum), not an essential oil blend. If you want essential oils only, The Tobacconist is scented with real tobacco and black pepper essential oils, and the Unscented wax has no fragrance at all.
What happens when the range runs out?
Beard balm will shape a moustache. It contains candelilla wax for hold, with butters and oils that condition. Less grip than a dedicated wax, but it works.
